Eligibility

To be eligible you must:

bbe aged between 18 and 30 inclusive at the time of application
hold a valid Australia passport
not have previously participated in this Working Holiday Program
intend to primarily holiday in France
hold medical and comprehensive hospitalisation insurance
have a return ticket or sufficient funds to buy one
provide a police certificate from any country you have spent more than one year in over the last ten years

Visa Fee

The visa costs AUD$168.95 payable by creditcard.

Proof of Funds

You must have access to a minimum of €2,100.

Quota

No known quota.

Validity

The visa is valid for 12 months based on the start date of your travel insurance. The visa can not be extended or changed to another type of visa while you are in France.

Employment Restrictions

There are no known restrictions.

Re-Entry

You may leave and re-enter multiple times but the time allowed for your visa will not be paused while you are away.

How to Apply

Read the application requirement and apply to the Consulate-General of France in Sydney. If you are outside Australia you must apply to the French Embassy or Consulate in your country of residence.

General Comments

The visa will take a minimum of 4 weeks to process. While you do not need to be in Australia to apply but you may not apply for this visa if you are already in France. You must take out travel insurance for 12 months (to cover the duration of the visa) even if you plan to travel for less time.
